Palimpsesto

Palimpsesto is the personal exhibition of José Manuel Fors that the National Museum of Fine Arts has prepared to celebrate the creditor artist of the National Prize of the Plastic Arts, awarded each year by the CNAP.

His works have been exhibited in Madrid, Milan, Brussels, Paris, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Miami, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Toronto and many other places, but José Manuel Fors usually finds everything he needs to create his art here: not only in Havana, his hometown, but between the walls of his own home.

In his personal aesthetics, Fors appeals to the historical memory and his own where, according to the curator and critic Corina Matamoros "the anatomy of the intimate emerges as a true space of man",
