Cubaism's Spring Art Tour is grounded in the artistic, political, social and historical context of the island and will set the scene for the trip through a series of talks, studio tours and gallery tours, introducing the framework in which Cuban contemporary art has flourished. The trip provides participants with the exclusive opportunity to meet and greet artists and other influential figures in the Cuban art world. Giving attendees the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the vibrant Cuban culture, Cuba Art Tours invites you to explore Cuba's kaleidoscopic art scene.
The tour will begin with a short lecture from Cuban Art History professor María de los Ángeles Pereira. Following this we will travel through a Cuban art historical narrative with a guided tour to the National Museum of Fine Arts, starting with the establishment of the fine arts under Spanish colonial rule exploring the ostentation styles, reflecting delicate European Romanticism and simultaneously the striking Baroque. The gallery progresses from Colonial art all the way through to Cuban Post-Revolutionary art from the 1990s. Following an introduction to the foundations of the Cuban art scene, Cubartours will begin by exploring the works of post-Revolution masters such as Lesbia Vent Dumois, Nelson Domínguez and Manuel Mendive amongst others. The Tour will then follow the development of Cuban Art through the 80s and 90s, with trips to the studios of celebrated contemporary artists. Finally, it shall also provide an insight into the youngest and brightest Cuban artists of the moment. The Art Tour provides a rare and perfectly curated opportunity to experience the pulsating life of Cuban art and artists, immersing oneself into the surroundings in which contemporary Cuban art was born.
Through the duration of the tour, artists will invite you into the spaces in which their creative process takes place. Interacting with artists will no doubt bring works to life and create a more intimate understanding between participants, individual artists and their works.
The professional tours include a host of special events including receptions at the British Ambassador's residence, cocktails at the Nacional, private receptions in the hotel allocated and exclusive exhibition openings organised specifically for the professional tours.
Not missing out on the scintillating city of Havana itself, Cubartours, working with Cubaism, will integrate vintage car tours of the city and other exciting activities, giving participants the unique opportunity to live the vibrant Cuban street and nightlife, to fully embrace the Real Cuban experience.

The tour was incredible -the most enjoyable thing I did in Havana. The artists you guys chose were so interesting and it was nice to see the broad spectrum of art in Cuba. I'm so happy I booked this, all the girls were so friendly and knowledgeable.
Jasmine curated one of the most incredible arts experiences we've had. Anyone who is a genuine art lover and interested in connecting with the source of these works should go on a tour. It is truly an elevated experience--5 stars all around!
The tour was insightful and interesting. We had the rare experience to see works of art up close and personal, as well as the chance to discuss those works with the artists themselves. An experience I never would have had if it were not for this tour.
