Aimee Garcia's work has always had self-referentiality substrate through an open existential discourse multiple implications, but directed from the intimacy and body towards society. His poetry is linked to the problems of women, but from a more introspective stance. The painting has almost always been the main character, which other materials such as lead, hair, thread, knives, metal are incorporated; and thus it establishes a symbolic game between the image and the added element. It is also interested in the use of photography as an expressive and performing object-facilities where the materials used allow him to reflect on the everyday life, history, memory.
She has also been interested in what happens in contemporary societies. The impact of information, media, and social networks on people, the influence that media have on societies and the way of life on these days has been a point of reflection for this artist. Always from the feminine look, which has become a seal of his creations, that are intrinsic to the human being. Her body is often the tool and the vehicle through which it expresses her ideas. The self-portrait has always been present in his work since the beginning of artistic creation.
