The young artist Marlys Fuego, works and lives in Havana. Its formation began in the Academy of Visual Arts Oswaldo Guayasamín of the province of Bayamo, Granma. Where she graduated in the specialties of Painting and Drawing in 2007. She began her studies at the University of Arts (ISA) in 2013 and developed her first year of career. In 2009 she won the First Prize at the Sancti-Spíritus Miniatures Hall as well as other prizes at Cienfuegos and Granma. She is currently residing in Artistic Residence at El Barrio's Art Space PS109, in New York, with the sponsorship of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
