Constructed after the ¨Dance of the Millions¨ the Capitol in Cuba was inaugurated on May 20 from 1929. Inspired in the one in Washington its iconic dome also reminds the basilica of St. Peter in Rome. At the same time, the Capitol contains the third biggest sculpture under ceiling who is a representation of the Republic of Cuba. Before Revolution was the place where the Cuban Congress worked and where was promulgated one of the most important Constitutions in Cuba (1940). After 1959 housed the Cuban Academy of Sciences and Technology and now is in restoration. The Capitol will be the place for the National Assembly of Cuba.
